Go Red Goes STEM is the next frontier in the Go Red for Women movement in Chicago.
As a science based organization, the American Heart Association recognizes the need to have more women at the table, making life-saving breakthroughs in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. With Go Red Goes STEM, we want to empower young women to take control of their health, and to consider a STEM career that could impact the health of all Americans.
Go Red Goes STEM was created in 2016 in Chicago to engage high school girls for a day-long conference exposing them to career options and healthy living. Attendees walk away knowing they can make a difference for the health of all Americans through a career in STEM. Sponsors engage employees at the day of the event and year-round, including the Go Red For Women Executive Luncheon each February.

On November 5, 2018, we welcomed 103 students from 23 schools for a day of fun! Students heard from keynote speakers, attended breakout sessions, participated in speed mentoring with 85 mentors, learned Hands-Only CPR and heard from cardiac arrest survivor, Heather Baker, and much more!
