CELEBRATE WITH US!

The Northwest Indiana Heart of Gold Gala, attended by more than 650 individuals from Northwest Indiana’s business, medical and social communities, is the annual black-tie gala benefiting the American Heart Association's lifesaving mission.  The evening's festivities begin with a pre-event reception that includes an amazing silent auction followed by an elegant dinner and inspiring program. The night ends with our renowned dessert display and gourmet coffee bar.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) rank as America's Number 1 killer while stroke is the number 5 cause of
death.  Nearly 2,200 Americans die of CVD each day - that is one person every 39 seconds.  Please join the American Heart Association in building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke by
celebrating our 15th Anniversary of the Northwest Indiana Heart of Gold Gala, on March 18, 2017.

Our mission is made possible by our generous donors and volunteers.  Since 1949, we have invested billions of dollars in research, currently we have over $18 million dollars in active research in Illinois. The American Heart Association funded breakthroughs include the first artificial heart valve, techniques and standards for CPR, pacemakers, cholesterol drugs and drug coated stents.
